Director of Finance
The Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority (GARAA) is seeking an outstanding individual for the position of Director of Finance and Accounting. This position is responsible for directing the general finance and accounting functions, including accounting services and capital planning. This position is the custodian of all Authority’s assets, funds and securities and provides leadership to the Finance and Accounting Department. Responsibilities include financial analysis and preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, develops and maintains internal audit control system and manages cash management plan. Assists and supervises accounts receivable/payables and payroll functions.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or any other related field and at least five (5) years work experience practicing advanced accounting skills, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity. Microsoft Dynamics SL Accounting Software experience is preferred. CPA and experience in an airport and/or governmental environment preferred. Must be able to communicate effectively, both written and orally, with internal and external business relationships, including Board members, Authority employees, government officials, tenants and the general public.

Public Safety Officer
The Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority (GARAA) is seeking a Public Safety Officer. Responsibilities include aircraft rescue and fire-fighting (ARFF), emergency medical response and law enforcement. This position requires working well in an emergency situation and must exercise independent judgment, discretion, and initiative in completing assignments and handling difficult public contact situations requiring considerable tact and knowledge of airport policies, procedures, and programs. Basic Law Enforcement Certification (BLET) is required. Salary range is $36,000 - $48,000.

Airport Systems Technician II
This position is under limited supervision and the person filling it must have the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, remedy and make good, sound decisions based on the information provided. This position manages and maintains the access control and CCTV infrastructure in accordance with all applicable airport policies and directives. Communicates daily with the Information Technology (IT) and Operations (Ops) departments, ensuring all facilities within the realm of access control and CCTV are operational and in good working order. In addition to performing normal airport IT and Ops duties, this position will maintain vehicle gates, electronics and computer programs, communications center systems, and other systems as needed. Must pass a ten year criminal history background check and maintain security clearances as required by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

The Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority (GARAA) is seeking an individual for the position of Custodial Technician. This individual performs routine work in cleaning of all airport facilities. This position performs work involving cleaning and janitorial services. Work involves the use of a variety of cleaning tools and cleaning agents. Work includes the performance of routine, established tasks such as cleaning restrooms, collecting garbage from garbage cans, restocking restroom supplies, and cleaning offices.
Completion of high school or equivalent education required. Experience working in the custodial field is preferred.
