The Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority (GARAA) is seeking an outstanding individual who can maintain airport compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 77 and 139, Transportation Security Regulation (TSR) Part 1542, and all other applicable statutes, regulations and requirements and ensures the safety and security of all airport users. This position, with supervision, will assist in dispatching, communications, airport badging, and duties performed in the Airport Communications Center and Airport Operations Center. Responsibilities will include performing airport inspections and other operations functions. Also, this position will coordinate with the Maintenance department on airfield repairs; airfield lighting; janitorial; maintenance of main terminal and grounds, parking and ground transportation.
A Bachelor's degree in aviation management, business administration, or a related field is preferred; or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of two years of work experience at a commercial service airport performing functions of a similar nature.

Responsibilities include aircraft rescue and fire-fighting (ARFF), emergency medical response and law enforcement. This position requires working well in an emergency situation and must exercise independent judgment, discretion, and initiative in completing assignments and handling difficult public contact situations requiring considerable tact and knowledge of airport policies, procedures, and programs. Basic Law Enforcement Certification (BLET) is required.
