SAFETY
Check out these important safety tips and information:
Ramp Safety Tips
- What are the four fundamental principle steps to achieving ramp safety? Remember the acronym RAMP:
1: Recognize hazards
2: Access risks of hazards
3: Minimize risks of hazards
4: Prepare for emergencies
- 92% of incidents can be traced to failure to follow procedures, lack of adequate training and airfield congestion.
- Do not approach the aircraft until the propellers have stopped turning and the anti-collision beacon is off. Never walk close to or between propellers or between propeller blades, even if they are motionless. Never touch a propeller blade.
- Risks and hazards associated with aircraft ramp operations include jet blast, aircraft movement, weather conditions and other factors that can cause injury to personnel and aircraft damage.
