Communicates and assists with all airport stakeholders.

The Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority (GARAA) is seeking a Maintenance Technician IV, Airfield. This position exists to primarily perform high-voltage airfield electrical work in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other federal, state, and location regulations required to operate the Asheville Regional Airport (AVL). Performs skilled technical and trade work related to all electrical systems at the Airport. Performs corrective, preventative, predictive, and proactive maintenance of various electrical and lighting systems at the Airport in compliance with established procedures and FAA and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations. Performs general maintenance for the airside including pavement work, painting, mowing, fencing, and wildlife mitigation measures. Work requires significant independence, initiative, skills, and advanced knowledge of technical and trade practices.

The Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority (GARAA) is seeking an individual for the position of IT Systems Administrator I. This position is responsible for maintaining the organization’s core IT infrastructure and technologies in accordance with all applicable policies, directives, industry standards, and best practices. This position is considered a Tier 2 technical position and requires an advanced level of expertise to support the Airport’s most critical systems. This position communicates daily with the Vice President of Information Technology, ensuring all systems and applications are in good working order. Under limited supervision, the IT Systems Administrator must have the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and remedy medium to complex technical issues. Must pass a ten-year criminal history background check and maintain security clearances as required by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

The Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority (GARAA) is seeking an individual for the position of IT Systems Technician II. Under general supervision, this position is responsible for providing Level I/II support for a multitude of technical disciplines including but not limited to workstations, laptops, servers, printers, tablets, A/V, network equipment, telephony hardware, wi-fi, and other vendor specific applications and hardware. In addition, this position is responsible for the maintenance of components related to the Airports access control, CCTV and low voltage / structured cabling infrastructure across the campus. The position works closely with the IT Systems Administrators, ensuring all hardware, software, and services within the realm Information Technology are operational, secure, and in good working order. The Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority (GARAA) is seeking an individual for the position of Police Captain. Under general supervision of the Public Safety Deputy Chief, the Police Captain is responsible for planning, coordinating, scheduling, and documenting all law enforcement training for Department of Public Safety (DPS) law enforcement personnel. Develops, implements, and supervises a comprehensive law enforcement training curriculum in compliance with the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission, GARAA, and other regulatory agencies. Investigates complex crimes and conducts background investigations. As necessary, responsible for the duties of an airport law enforcement officer. This position requires considerable knowledge of departmental directives, Standard Operating Guidelines (SOGs), laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations. North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement Training Certification required.

The Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority (GARAA) is seeking an individual for the position of Public Safety Officer. On a shift schedule, the Public Safety Officer is responsible for the combined duties of aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF), emergency medical response, and law enforcement. Work requires the performance of hazardous tasks under emergency conditions which may include strenuous exertion. This position requires working well in an emergency situation and must exercise independent judgment, discretion, and initiative in completing assignments and handling difficult public contact situations requiring considerable tact and knowledge of airport policies, procedures, and programs. Performs other duties as assigned by the Public Safety Chief, Deputy Chief, Captain, and/or on-duty Lieutenant. North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement Training Certification required.
