Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) is advising all customers that its ground transportation pick-up areas will be relocated beginning Wednesday, June 28, 2023. Hotel shuttles, private car services (limos) and accessible ride pick-ups will occur on the front curb on Terminal Drive at a designated location near baggage claim. Taxis and ride app services will pick up in the parking garage on the terminal level.
Signs will be in place to direct customers, and customers in the garage will follow a blue painted walking path to the taxi and ride app pick-up area.
All customers utilizing ground transportation will continue to be dropped off directly at the airport terminal along Terminal Drive.
The ground transportation pick-up relocation is part of the preparatory work necessary so the airport can break ground on the construction of a new airport terminal.
More information about the construction of a new airport terminal will be available on a special section of the airport's website once the groundbreaking has taken place this August.
Serving more than 1.8 million passengers in 2022, Asheville Regional Airport is continuing its growth trajectory and is the third busiest airport in North Carolina. For more information, visit flyavl.com.
