Maintenance

Maintenance Technician I

The Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority (GARAA) is seeking an individual for the position of Maintenance Technician I.  Responsibility includes routine repair, maintenance, preventative maintenance and landscaping support to assure that airport grounds, landscaped areas, plants, shrubs, and grass are maintained in optimum condition.  Operates equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, edgers, tractors, and sweepers to maintain airport terminal grounds.  Operates motorized equipment for snow removal from roadways, sidewalks, and steps.

Department of Public Safety

Public Safety Officer

The Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority (GARAA) is seeking a Public Safety Officer.  Responsibilities include aircraft rescue and fire-fighting (ARFF), emergency medical response and law enforcement. This position requires working well in an emergency situation and must exercise independent judgment, discretion, and initiative in completing assignments and handling difficult public contact situations requiring considerable tact and knowledge of airport policies, procedures, and programs. Basic Law Enforcement Certification (BLET) is required.

Custodial

Custodial Technician

The Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority (GARAA) is seeking an individual for the position of Custodial Technician. This individual performs routine work in cleaning of all airport facilities.  This position performs work involving cleaning and janitorial services.  Work involves the use of a variety of cleaning tools and cleaning agents.  Work includes the performance of routine, established tasks such as cleaning restrooms, collecting garbage from garbage cans, restocking restroom supplies, and cleaning offices.

Completion of high school or equivalent education required.  Experience working in the custodial field is preferred.
