The Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority (GARAA) is seeking a Human Resources & Administrative Assistant to be responsible for day-to-day administrative support of the Department of Administration & Human Resources and provides assistance to the Department Vice President, Authority employees, and visitors. Performs administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the department. Supports positive and productive relations with staff, tenants and visitors.

Vice President of Information Technology
The Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority (GARAA) is seeking a Vice President of Information Technology to provide executive leadership and operational oversight of all Information Technology (IT) systems for the Authority. Is responsible for the development, planning, implementation, and administration of the Information Technology, Telecommunications, Physical and Cyber Security, and Shared Use networks and programs for the Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority. Drives technology strategy in collaboration with other leaders to improve customer experience, operational efficiencies, and support revenue generation. As a senior leader, one is expected to uphold and model the organization’s mission, vision, and these core values: Forward, Integrity, and Empathy.

This position exists to perform routine repair, maintenance, preventative maintenance and landscaping support to assure that airport grounds, landscaped areas, plants, shrubs, and grass are maintained in optimum condition.

Public Safety Officer
The Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority (GARAA) is seeking an individual for the position of Public Safety Officer. On a shift schedule, the Public Safety Officer is responsible for the combined duties of aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF), emergency medical response, and law enforcement. Work requires the performance of hazardous tasks under emergency conditions which may include strenuous exertion. This position requires working well in an emergency situation and must exercise independent judgment, discretion, and initiative in completing assignments and handling difficult public contact situations requiring considerable tact and knowledge of airport policies, procedures, and programs. Performs other duties as assigned by the Public Safety Chief, Deputy Chief, Captain, and/or on-duty Lieutenant. North Carolina Basic Law Enforcement Training Certification required.

The FAA is currently looking for Air Traffic Control Specialists.
Air Traffic Control Specialists (ATCS) are responsible for the safe, orderly and expeditious movement of air traffic through the nation's airspace. The FAA has Air Traffic Control Facilities in every state as well as Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, and Guam. They transfer control of aircraft to the ARTCC controller when the aircraft leaves assigned airspace, and they receive control of aircraft coming into assigned airspace. They provide separation between aircraft flying within the Federal airways or operating into or out of airports..
