Airport Authority welcomes new Director of Administration and Human Resources

(Asheville, N.C.)

The Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority is pleased to welcome a new Director of Administration and Human Resources to the Authority staff.

Lisa Jump brings over 20 years of experience in administration to the airport, including her most recent role as the Vice President of Human Resources at South Bend International Airport in Indiana. She holds a Bachelor of Science in human resources from Indiana University and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Southern University.

"Mrs. Jump will be a valuable addition to the airport as we continue to manage recent growth,” said Lew Bleiweis, A.A.E., Executive Director of the Greater Asheville Regional Airport Authority. “Her experience in administration and public service will serve the Authority team well as she steps into the role.”

Prior to her work with South Bend International Airport, Jump held the titles of Director of Human Resources for the Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library System and Office Manager for Optometric Associates of South Bend.

Jump is a member of the National Society of Human Resource Management and the National Society of Academic Leadership and Success. She has also earned a Professional in Human Resources Certification and is a Society of Human Resource Management Certified Professional.

Jump began her new position July 17, 2019 and will lead the airport's efforts in administration and human resources.

Asheville Regional Airport is one of the fastest-growing small airports in the country, with 19 nonstop destinations served by six airlines. The airport just celebrated its fifth consecutive record year of growth, has experienced 18 consecutive months of double-digit growth, and surpassed one million passengers in 2018 for the first time in its 58-year history.
