(Asheville, N.C.) Asheville Regional Airport is pleased to announce the selection of Angelica Daus as Vice President, Air Service Development & Corporate Communications. Daus previously served as the marketing supervisor at the Santa Barbara Airport (SBA), where she successfully led strategic marketing, air service development and communications initiatives, and expanded community engagement programs.
In her new role, Daus will be responsible for leading AVL’s air service development strategy and corporate communications efforts, with a focus on growth, retention and relationship-building to support the organization’s goals. She brings a wealth of experience in aviation marketing, organizational development, and public engagement that will be instrumental in driving continued growth and innovation at AVL.
At Santa Barbara, she managed strategic marketing programs that contributed to post-pandemic air service recovery, created a thriving in-terminal advertising program, and led collaborative efforts across internal and external stakeholders. She also serves on several professional and nonprofit boards.
Daus received her master's degree in public administration from Metropolitan State University in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and her bachelor's degree in political science & public administration from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
Regarding her new appointment, Daus stated, “I am deeply honored and grateful to step into the role of Vice President of Air Service Development and Corporate Communications at AVL. It's a privilege to serve a community where the airport is not just a gateway to adventure in the beautiful area, but a vital service to everyday life and economic vitality. I'm excited to join and support a strong and vibrant team with a record of success and a culture rooted in collaboration, positivity, and purpose.”

"Angi brings strong experience and educational background, and a forward-thinking, passionate approach to our industry—qualities that will be invaluable as we continue the important work ahead.”
Daus will begin her work at AVL on May 27, 2025.
